About Greenergy® Solar Industries

Starting in 1978 as a one man business in the Light Metal Industry, founder and CEO M. Hartman has since grown into a multi-national company with factories on three continents.

Originally operating from The Netherlands, M. Hartman also acquired larger manufacturing companies in 1988 on three different continents that specialized in building aluminum structures based on a process called "reversed engineering". These high quality products – shipped as Flat Packs that take up less volume – are easily and quickly reassembled on site by low skilled workers. Due to its ease of assembly the work force can be trained in about 25 working hours.

The Hartman Companies also manufactured and supplied more than 5 million running meters of cladding for a multi-national company's Forecourt garages within a 3 year period.

Greenergy Solar Industries (GSI) – a daughter company of the Hartman Companies – is manufacturing solar mounting structures engineered for use in large solar projects.

A new factory that will have a capacity of more than 200 Megawatt per year is currently in the designing phase.

Three solar mounting structures are being engineered in close cooperation with the University of Stellenbosch whose mechanical department is currently re-calculating all structures "as a neutral party" to confirm load and strength specifications.
